Check out the photo on the right side, while we could barely see with our naked eye and amateur video technices, professionals at fixmymovie.com has the technology to make the best out of all sort of jerky pictures and videos, either sourced from a mobile phone or bad quality video camera.

In a nutshell, their service was:

“FixMyMovie automatically cleans your movies with MotionDSP’s advanced video technology. It makes movies from your mobile phone or digital camera look great. Upload, Fix, Share, and Download your videos!
New increased limits: we now accept videos up to 640×480 and 100 megabytes”
However MotionDSP has announced recently that they are changing the business plan for this technology. According to Stephen Shankland from CNET MotionDSP is turning FixMyMovie.com into a desktop application called ‘Carmel’. MotionDSP is promising to keep the technology intact and actually improve more and make it available to end users, just away from their mouse clicks.

This is what MotionDSP announced earlier:

“We’re shutting down FixMyMovie.com on December 31, 2008. In its place, we’re launching a new Windows desktop application, code-named Carmel, which will be released in the first quarter of 2009,” said MotionDSP, which runs the site, in an e-mail to site members Friday. “If you have uploaded any videos to FixMyMovie that you’d like to keep, we recommend that you use the ‘Download’ option before December 31 for each fixed movie that you’d like to save.”

Carmel sounds promising more but still waiting for users to respond. This was officially announced from fixmymovie.com recently:

With Carmel, you’ll be able to apply all the same cool enhancements to your videos that you can find on FixMyMovie.com… and do even more.

Even more video-fixing options than you can currently find on FixMyMovie.com.

Faster processing of your enhanced videos.

Super-fast processing when you’ve got an NVIDIA graphics card.

New features that’ll help you easily edit and share your fixed videos.

Carmel will be available early in 2009, but you can be among the first to try it. Check out the Carmel product page to find more information and sign up for our Beta program.

FixMyMovie.Com is currently offering:

Increase resolution: add more pixels

Brighten up dark clips

Capture photos from any video

Convert from any video format
